I worked and reported to Shantha from 2006-2020 in various roles. At no stage during this time did he make me feel that I was reporting to him. It was always about working together and him being on the sideline, coaching & mentoring and giving us full credit of our achievements. That is perhaps one of his best qualities. Whether it was achieving ISO 22000 and HACCP in the same year to increasing the number of weddings from 160 in a year to 270 in a year, Shantha was always setting audacious goals for himself and others. He acted as a mentor, letting me take my risks, make my mistakes and learn from there without panicking. Through the various stages on my career progression he was always there to raise the bar, forcing me to step up my learning and deliver results I thought was not possible. His ability to spot latent talent is amazing. His adjustment of his leadership style and accuracy of asking right question is mind boggling. In summary his coaching and mentoring capabilities are unmatched.
